What are your dreams and goals?
I dream of owning a holiday home in Austria and spending half my year there and half in Scotland in a house I have helped design myself. |

What do you do in your spare time?
I love to spend time with my family, my boys are really young and watching them grow up puts everything in perspective for me – and makes me feel really old. Family aside I love anything to do with motorbikes! The freedom provided by riding is unmatched by anything else in my life. |

I get a bit carried away with the future of our business and have been known to rant on a bit. |

Describe your perfect day?
My perfect day would involve a long lie in bed – getting up at 10ish relaxed breakfast – trip to Knockhill for a track day – back for a Pizza Hut with the kids, movie at home in the evening in front of the fire with a bottle of red, or maybe two. |

We have just returned from a successful project in Johannesburg, South Africa for an existing client who is an international call centre operator.
 The asplanned team jetted out to South Africa to reconfigure 450 workstations over two floors and two buildings across Johannesburg. Not only that we had to knock down, remove from site, cut to a new size and
re-build every workstation - to boot!
Our Managing Director
Andy Stewart, said:
An existing client, approached us after their South African contacts said the job was impossible to turnaround in 3 weeks. I am pleased that we were able to meet this challenge and our client was delighted. Also particularly pleasing for us, was that this comes on the back of other successful installations for this client in Europe”
Following on from this success we are all busy working on further projects elsewhere.
A bit closer to home, we are continuing to win business locally with the New Year promising increased activity in the Aberdeen area… so watch this space! |

 December heralds a new location for IRT Surveys, who are the first to move into new custom–built offices, at Dundee’s creative media park.
IRT surveys, a thermal imaging company, challenged asplanned to create their outstanding office...guaranteed.
We are currently working with IRT Surveys providing office furniture, partitioning and move management for their new offices based at Seabraes Yard, Dundee. |

clientsbrief:: Petex House was to be a natural progression in the company’s speedy growth. The interior of the building had to allow as much natural light as possible to echo the company’s ‘open & transparent’ attitude towards working. Corridors and spaces were to be designed to flow and to provide interest using quality fixtures and fittings. Expansion possibilities were also a factor as well as contemporary dining and kitchen areas. This added to provision for a 32 person boardroom with video conference & presentation facility, two 18 person training rooms, spacious environments for some 50 staff and various smaller office spaces for visiting clients.

| Merry Christmas… Glenlaw House |

For a couple of years now, it has been tradition at asplanned to donate a christmas gift (instead of giving Christmas cards/calendars) to local charity, Glenlaw House.
This year asplanned will make – over the staff office with new furnishings, creating a fresh and new working environment for 2008!
Glenlaw House is a respite centre for children with profound disabilities and complex care needs, based in Hospital Street, Dundee. A five bedroom unit, Glenlaw House caters for children with such complex difficulties that most cannot sit independently, stand, walk or talk. |
